I stepped out of the bathroom and heard giggles...the good news is that she was giggling, too! Daddy was supervising...hmmmm...

The sun will come out, tomorrow?
Wishful thinking on my part...a sunny holiday weekend.
Here is a photo of our favorite mail retrieval vehicle. Since we live on a steep hill and one or both kids need/want to be carried to/from the mail box, I load them in the trusty wagon and off we go .
This is also G's first go with sunglasses and she didn't even touch them.
BTW, she weighed in at 7.2 kg today (clothed) - that is 15 lbs 13 oz.
So Handy
One of B's favorite new shows is Handy Manny. For those of you who are not Playhouse Disney regulars, HM is a handy man who works around town fixing things. HM is also bilingual, a bit of a cross between Dora/Diego and Bob the Builder. So now, B has decided to fix everything around the house and use his Spanish, too. Many days I get to be his "helper" and hand him tools or parts that we pick up at his favorite store, Home Depot.
Here, he is sporting his "phone" on his ear (who knew Legos were so versatile?) , talking to his next customer.
Next, we see both the phone and his trusty pencil (plastic spoon) behind his ear, for marking measurements, etc.
His favorite thing to disassemble is his "car". We thought we got him an easel for his birthday. Apparently, it is actually a car. He takes the pieces apart on a daily basis and can use an allen wrench better than many adults. I have had to lecture his a bit about not taking apart the toys that G plays with or SITS in as this could have dangerous results.

My Inner Stylist
I have always had this desire to be a hair stylist. However, a few of my friends from high school can attest (sorry, Jon) that it was never in the cards for me. Maybe it's my own wimpy hair or I am just not that talented. However, one of the great things about being the mother of a boy is the ability to use clippers on their hair, even if you are hair styling-challenged like me. Clipper guards make it nearly foolproof. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE mop-topped boy hair. However, we are in for several 80-90 degree days this next week and the short 'do is so much easier on the little man.

August 2007
Last August, I trimmed B's hair so short that he didn't need a cut for 6 MONTHS! NO JOKE. I didn't go that short today (OK - it looks pretty close to that short now that I compare the pictures).
As for G, barring any incidents with tape, glue or gum, I think she is safe from having to endure a "Styles By J" haircut.

*edit 5/15 to add photo* Last Post Title Was Correct and I Now Have Proof
At today's weight check, Ms. G weighed in at 14 lbs 5 oz and measured 24 3/4 inches tall. From my estimation, this now puts her at 10-25% for weight and 5-10% for height. She's downing more cereal in one sitting than I think is possible (3-5 Tablespoons made with formula and a fruit or veggie), then asking for milk an hour later. If nothing else, we know this baby likes to eat.

I swear I know how to feed a baby!
