Give us an inch...

We got a snow day - but only about an inch of snow. The roads were slippery, so I appreciate the fact I didn't have to navigate our way to school. However, Mother Nature didn't deliver enough of the white stuff for us to really go sledding. B decided to improvise and boy it worked! They shot off the end of the slide faster than ever. It was great.

My life in Facebook Updates:

Not a fan of being stuck at home. Less a fan of having sick kids. Why, oh why, do they seem to only have sick days on the two days per week when I schedule appointments for me (like a haircut, coffee with a friend, etc.)? G last week. B this week. Now the threat of a snow day tomorrow. Yikes.

Thank goodness for clean water and grocery delivery services.

Note to self - when having groceries delivered, make sure you understand quantity so that you get 3 lbs of nectarines, not just 3 nectarines. You get 2 small heads of cauliflower, not 4 large heads of cauliflower. You get 2 packages of top ramen not 12!!!

Best not to think negative thoughts while chopping veggies or your finger my end up a casualty. Ouch!

when you cut yourf infex finger, typing can be a chanllenge.

Ben, "Mom, what do I smell? Are you cooking Kale?"
Jeanelle, "Nope. I am roasting cauliflower."
Ben, "Yippee! I love cauliflower."
Proud and happy mama for sure!

Wishful Thinking

We've had a few days of snow showers and Miss G really wants to catch a few of the flakes on her tongue. Unfortunately, the flakes were not cooperating.

Happiest Birthday Wishes (a day late).

The incredible man, whom I get the honor and privilege to call my husband, celebrated his birthday yesterday. He wasn't excited about getting a year older. However, I know that his attitude isn't aging even if the calendar disagrees. He is the funniest man I know, who is quick to tell a joke but never at the expense of another person. His willingness and true desire to spend to time with our children makes me happy every day. He is a very hard working man who is respected by both his staff as well as his supervisors. He is also a great son to his parents. He makes an effort to spend time alone with me as well, especially when work, family and parenting make it harder to prioritize.

I love you babe. More today than yesterday and not as much as tomorrow! Happy Birthday!
